Simon Roberts’ session proposal for the Agile Business Conference in London (6-7 October 2015) has been accepted by the organisers. The title of the session is “Radical Management in Practice: A Holistic Approach to Management in Agile Enterprises” and will combine presentation, discussion and short exercises. Steve Denning, inventor of Radical Management and who is due to provide the opening keynote for the conference has graciously agreed to co-lead the workshop and add his insights :)

Axis of Agile: How much fun can be had in a Certified Scrum Product Owner course?

Posted on

Well it turns out that a great deal of fun can be had! This video (used by permission from participants and the creator, Steffen Voigt), shows the story of an in-house CSPO training that Cem and I led for our friends at HiScout GmbH in Berlin.

Of course, it wasn’t just fun. The participants learned tools that they can start to apply to their products and make them even more successful.

Scrum Gathering Barcelona

Simon Roberts will be presening a session together with fellow Certified Scrum Trainer Stefan Roock on Enterprise Scrum Transitions at the Barcelona Scrum Gathering in October. The session will be an interactive role play which tells the story of a transition and how it started to influence the organisation. We integrated our experience from several transitions, from small companies with a few employees to large companies with several thousand employees.

The session will cover:

  1. Using Scrum for the transition
  2. Composition of the team
  3. Building the backlog and roadmap
  4. Definition of done for transition backlog items
  5. Scaling the transition

More information on the gathering can be found here:

We look forward to catching up with old friends and making new ones!
